SCREENING & VETTING
BS7858: 1996 Code of practice for security screening of personnel employed in a security environment.
This British Standard gives recommendations for the security of personnel in an environment where security people, goods or property is a significant feature of the employing organisations operations. This Standard is now an integral part of all registration schemes.

Fundamentally, compliance with BS7858 ensures that every stage of the application process is predetermined by this Standard.
BS7858 also sets down procedures and guidelines for the recording and storage of files; specific formats for forms and detailed provision for the tracking of correspondence.
